THE FOUNDER BEHIND CHAPS.
For Moe Elhamed, Chaps is the result of more than 15 years in the hair industry and a lifelong passion for the craft.
Moe began his career as a hairdresser in 2010, developing his skills in cutting, styling and creating an exceptional client experience. That same year, he stepped into business ownership with the opening of his first salon at Stockland Merrylands.
After successfully building and operating multiple salons, Moe saw an opportunity to bring his experience, creativity and understanding of hair into the world of men’s grooming.
In 2018, that vision became Chaps Barbershop, with the first flagship location opening at South Village, Kirrawee.
Moe wanted Chaps to feel different. A modern barbershop grounded in traditional craftsmanship, but backed by a broader understanding of hair, style and service.
What started with one location has since grown into two, with Chaps Campsie marking the next chapter of the brand.
Today, Moe continues to lead Chaps with the same philosophy it was founded on: surround yourself with talented people, never compromise on quality and create an experience that keeps clients coming back.
